The Medal Ceremony & More...

As always, the last night of camp was a party full of dancing, balloons and more! Then came the special Medal Ceremony everyone loves at the Olympics. The teams each week compete with their country in many events and have the opportunity to win points. At the Vetca Olympics, everyone wins medals and is applauded as though they have won the gold... Then of course there are the platforms for the three top teams who get to hear their country's national anthem and get the winners cups! It is quite the party!

The best part of the night though is when the kids go with their team and each leader has the opportunity to pray over each child and let them know how special they are to them and to the Lord. The kids are always moved by this special time and it is great to see how even though they don't understand all that is being said, they know it is something different than the rest of the week and they know that they are loved. It has been extra special at the end of each week this summer as Paul & Fiona have the opportunity to say goodbye to so many of the kids that they have invested in over the past two years!

Please continue to pray for the next 4 weeks of camp. The Coles will be with us for only one more week of camp and then will pass the baton to Brian Briley, Sarah Meszaros and the super servant hearted team of interns. Thank you so much for your faithful prayers for the staff, teams, volunteers and of course the kids this summer!
